Team
Carlos L. Bethencourt – Founder and Designer
Carlos brings over a decade of experience from high-profile firms, including Frank Gehry’s Gehry Partners, LLP. He has experience with commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects across the U.S. and internationally. Based in Washington, DC and Los Angeles, Carlos founded BELO Design to apply his talent and vision to projects that unite design innovation with technical precision. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in architecture and planning from The Catholic University of America.
John Shannon - Project Architect
John is a licensed architect in CA, VA, MN, FL, and DC. With a Masters in Architecture from Woodbury University and a Bachelor’s degree from The Catholic University of America, he has designed, permitted, and built projects from commercial fit-outs to luxury custom residences. As the founder of a successful design-build firm in San Diego, John brings a deep understanding of building science, multiple climate zones, and construction methods.
Lina Ramirez - Project Manager
Lina is a versatile architectural professional with advanced degrees from Columbia University and Politecnico di Milano, as well as training in Florence and Venezuela. Her expertise spans architecture, interiors, construction, graphic design, and furniture design. She is technically proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, 3DS Max, V-Ray, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Christian Paredes - BIM Specialist
Christian is an architect with professional experience in architectural design, drafting, 3D modeling, and construction documentation. He has worked as part of design teams and has participated in on-site supervision for residential and commercial projects, contributing to the development of technical drawings, construction documents, and project visualizations. Throughout his career, he has collaborated on projects internationally, with experience across different countries in North and South America, working with multidisciplinary teams and diverse project standards.
